Established in 1983. Our story in the Santa Ynez Valley begins more than 60 years ago when my grandfather and father, Dan J. Gainey, acquired 1,800 acres of undeveloped land. Here, on what we call the “Home Ranch,” they ran cattle and horses while growing 600 acres of fruit, vegetables, flowers and hay. In 1984, my father converted 50 acres to …
