Card game wise I’d say there’s none better mechanically than Magic so get Cockatrice for a truly free experience. I'd say Netrunner is definitely up there in terms of mechanics. Some others like A Game of Thrones 2nd Edition or Legend of the Five Rings are also worth trying out if you are OK with a much higher complexity level.
