Kimber micro 380 problems

1734 posts · Joined 2017. #5 · Dec 1, 2017. That's what I was thinking, liability or legal. I replaced the Ambi on my Kimber 5" and ordered the single replacement from them. There might be something difficult about getting into the Micro to do any work. I don't know. A standard 1911, I can detail strip it blindfolded.

New to this site but hope to get some insight on corrosion issue with my Micro 9mm Stainless. I purchased this a little over a year ago for conceal carry. With about 400 rounds on the clock, I am experiencing either a failure to feed, or a failure to eject on about 4 rounds out of 40. This occurs after 60 flawless rounds. After that the Compact Carry gets a bit dirty and I can notice that the slide seems to slow ...So along comes the Sig P365 last January. I like it very much and am considering trading the Kimber for the Sig. Our local Scheels sells the Sig P365 for $530, but they would put me on a waiting list to receive one. Scheels will give me $475 for my Kimber (DC model with laser grips - MSRP $1095 on Kimber's web site).

I have a 380 micro and will never carry cocked and locked. I have been handling and carrying 1911's my whole life and always carry cooked and locked. No grip safety and you are asking for trouble. I also installed a stronger magazine catch spring, sourced from Numrich.
