No reason to get a BM-59 vs. M1A unless you are into collecting one. There are some great choices for M1A's / M14's and though more involved than an AR, you can build your own tackdriver. I would say a Springfield M1A falls in that category. I am with the others here: take advantage of Springfield's warranty and don't change a bunch of parts out.
